Why MLM

The very first recorded words our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ are in Luke 2: 49. The very first “red letter” words in the bible.

And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” Lk 2: 49 (NJKV),

Jesus knew very well why he came here. He knew very well why His Father sent the Word as flesh, to dwell among the sinners.

It was to complete His Father’s business. His Father’s business of salvation.

I have been amazed at the way the current business men are using all kinds of people to advertise their businesses. They use comedians, they use beauty queens, they use strong muscular men, they use children, they use warriors, they use sports persons, they use animals, you name it, the current business men use any creation to advertise their business. While some of these are for noble businesses, some are neutral and some for evil businesses too. I have always wondered where they get such creative ideas.

I wondered .. only till it struck me that there is nothing new in this. I realized that our Father has used all of His creations to advertise His business, the business of bringing salvation to mankind. Just take a look at the Bible, and you will realize what I am talking about.

Our Father has used Patriarchs ( Abraham), He used Kings (David), He used a long line of Prophets starting from Moses to Micah , he used Beauty Queens (Esther), he used Macho men (Samson), he used statesmen (Nehemiah), He used Poets (David, Solomon and Asaph), he used thinkers and intellectuals (Daniel), he used Warriors (Gideon, Joshua), He used the rich (Job), He used the Poor (Servant girl in Naaman’s house), He used magicians (Balaam), He used every conceivable type of personality to convey His message to man kind. He even tried speaking through a donkey (Numbers 22:28-30). All to repeatedly ask people to shun sin and come back to him..

And in the fullness of time, when all other people failed.. our Father executed the perfect solution for the success of His Business… he put the final plan to work on the first Christmas day ..He sent his final and perfect emissary to finish his business, Jesus Christ.. who 33 years later hung on the cross and declared triumphantly “ It is finished ”.. The job was done..

But He gave us a command to go and preach the good news to all the nations and all the people, so that none will perish.. He gave us a command to carry on with His Business.. until the day another shout of “It is done” will reverberate from heaven (Rev 16:17), so that no one will perish when that final “It is done “ is sounded.

It is our duty to carry on with our Father’s business. It is our responsibility to make our Father’s business succeed. We need to succeed in bearing fruit in our mission. We need collective leadership to succeed in this business.

Leadership is a much misunderstood word. But Jesus did not leave it to our imagination. He made it clear as to what type of leadership is expected out of His followers. Matthew 20:25-28 (NKJV) “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave– just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

He not only asked us, but he also demonstrated the servant leadership to us, and asked us to follow his example. John 13:12-17 (NKJV) So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.”

Leadership requirements have changed with times. Not the basic concepts of Leadership, but the way we apply it. Servant Leadership is not a popular topic in Contemporary times. Menorah Leadership Ministry will focus on demystifying the concept of Servant Leadership and make it’s application contemporary and possible in day to day life. MLM will bring Servant Leadership concepts to the Christian Organisations focused on our Father’s business of salvation. Collectively an organisation will be able to do much more than what an individual leader can do.

Menorah Leadership Ministries is an offering to our Lord to meet the needs of the various bodies that Christ has set up for carrying on His Business.
